Twists are an easy stitch to knit. To knit twists, you will need three needles including an auxiliary needle. 1. When you get to the place where you want to twist, slip the first two stitches of the left needle over the auxiliary needle. Then pass the auxiliary needle over the back of the item.
2. Continue by knitting the next two stitches with the left needle. These two stitches must then pass over your right needle.
3. Continue by knitting the two stitches of the auxiliary needle at the right side.
4. This will give you a 4-stitch twist on the right.
